Robyn grew up in the Blue Mountains of Jamaica.  As a child she was immersed into the world of film and photography as both her parents are filmmakers.  Her father is a Director, her mother is a Set Decorator/Food Stylist and they shared their passion for the arts and nature with her.

After graduating from high school, Robyn moved to New York where she attended the School of Visual Arts and pursued a BFA in Cinematography.  Twenty years later, working through four states, NY, LA, New Orleans and now Florida, Robyn has a successful career as a First Camera Technician.  She has worked on many TV shows, feature films, commercials and music videos.

“Film was always my first love while I think Photography is something that I took for granted when I was younger. Looking back now at old photographs and the memories they trigger, urged me to capture the present, the fleeting moments before they’re gone. I was always drawn to nature as I grew up in a remote area with very little technology, so a lot of my first photographs are of wildlife.  However, one of my first big commercial photography projects was a cookbook and I fell in love with food photography. The synergy between stylist and photographer to create mouth watering images is exciting.”

Robyn is the photographer of Cookbooks, “Belcour” by Robin Lim Lumsden and “My Goodness! Greens” by Donna Noble, taking her home to Jamaica on several occasions to photograph these projects.

Robyn approaches photography with the same passion and zest that she has for film and enjoys shooting all aspects of people and life. “Capturing families and their special moments, gifts me the opportunity to record their forever memories for generations to come.”

“Photographs are so powerful, each one a still moment in time with a story to tell, but they remind us to pause, for reflection. It’s my passion to leave behind these images of life, love and a full stomach.”
